3 Quick Fixes For Fatigue Revival & No Caffeine Required

We have all been there.  Exhausted and you don't want another cup of coffee.  While you know that you should get more sleep, eat better and exercise more to really get at the root of this problem, but you need to wake up NOW...

As an Ayuvedic Health Practitioner and Health Coach, I don't like the band aid approach.  The sources of fatigue should be tended to daily.  So please promise yourself that you will just use these fixes once in a while.  Make the promise because a quick fix is not as good as the real thing.

  1. Make sure you are hydrated with water or herbal teas.  Caffeine is a diuretic and juice requires digestion, so they do not give your body the fluid that you need.
  2. Get up and move.  Take a five or ten minute walk, or do a few stretches.  People sit too much and the body's circulation and flow becomes slow.  The movement will naturally enhance body function.
  3. Inhale peppermint.  It is a natural stimulant that will awaken your senses and clear your head.
  4. Back away from the computer and the smart phone.  The blue light emitted from these devices affects our body's rhythm and flow.  Our bodies need to take a break, so they can reset and rest.  Try to get a little fresh air or sit by a window.  You will feel clearer and more focused after the break.
Enjoy the four tips (yes, I gave one extra), but try to work on a long term solution.
